Beef cube is a cut of beef commonly used for Asian cuisine. Often, these chunks of beef requires using low heat in a slow cooker or searing the meat in a heavy skillet in liquid to tenderize it. The meat works best in stews, stroganoffs and casseroles. To create a less chewy meat, it may be pounded gently to tenderize it before cooking. Locally, beef cube is popularly used for curries and rendang too.
